This is a game to practice telling time. It can be used at ANY level because I have left the clocks blank for you to write in. Copy the blank clock 12 times on cardstock and laminate. Write with a vis-a-vis (or sharpie if you want it to be permanent) the times you are working on along with a letter of the alphabet (A-J).
Put the clocks around the room and have your students walk around with a clipboard "spying" the analog clocks and writing the digital times on their recording sheet. Easy, peasy, lemon, squeezey {mac and cheezy}!

Great idea!! I can make advanced ones for 3rd graders...my kids are having a hard time getting elapsed time. I can have a short word problem on the back the the clocks to figure out how much time has passed!
Thanks for the inspiration! Loving your blog (newer follower). Would love to have you stop over at my blog some time!

Once Upon a Time in First Grade
Just in time for Mrs. Schroeder to teach time. I can't wait to try this out on my 2ndders! The won't know what hit them. I also keep a Judy Clock in our Work Stations at each table and ask the Table Captains to do a time check at random times during the day. I shout out, "Time Check" and ask them to show me a time on their clock.
Also check out schroederpage@blogspot.com for a free give away for the month of April!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

What a wonderfully simple and fun idea for my kiddos!! We'll be focusing on time to the half hour after Spring Break, and this will be the perfect thing to add to my math tub time... thank you bunches :-)

I like the multi-level flexibility of this activity. You could even make color-coded clocks to designate the different ability levels. Movement and learning is always great!! Thanks for sharing!

My son is going into middle school next year and at the parent meeting, they gave us clock/time flash cards so that the kids can practice over the summer... apparently kids are so used to digital clocks they're having a hard time reading a clocks in school and getting to their classes on time. I'll be making some up to practice with my soon to be middle schooler and my 1st grader. Thank you.
LOVE THIS. CANNOT WAIT TO USE IT NEXT WEEEEK!!!

Thank you so much for all your cute ideas. I found your blog last month and it has taken over our school! Everyone's been talking about it! It's been awesome.
My 2nders did this on the Friday before Spring Break-when I needed to do something academic but also get those excited bodies moving...perfect fit! They loved it!
So stinking smart!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I was finally able to use these today. The kids loved it! Thank yo for sharing these.
OMG. You all make teaching so easy. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge as well as your time and creativity. You ROCK.
Thank you for such a great idea. I might use your idea and adapt it to a place value activity- where I might place different numbers around the room and the kids have to find them all and answer questions about what numbers are in the ones, tens, hundreds, thousands column. What a simple yet effective and engaging activity!!!
Thank you

I love this idea! I think my kids will love getting to be up and walking around the room. I'm going to use the little Judy Clocks for them to create the time on when they get back to their seats though.
Thank you for sharing!
